A pair of improvised explosive devices went off in the nation's capital on Thursday, resulting in the loss of a national guard serviceman and injuries to four other people, including two police officers. Legal authorities described the incident as a "terrorist" attack. As stated by an announcement, the first explosion took place during a routine check by two servicemen. The second device was set off as medics and officers were responding to the scene of the first blast.
